Systems Engineer – Remote

Voxbet are a leading Software as a Service (SaaS) provider to the Sports betting and gaming industry. We work with most of the biggest brands across Europe and the UK and further afield. We process and facilitate millions of messages in multiple languages for our customers each month via our own platform.

Our business continues to grow as does our product range. We are expanding into new territories and new markets and are looking to grow our team to meet these demands. We need good people to help us continue to do this and are looking for an IT Systems Engineer to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity to expand your skills and experience in IT infrastructure and Operations, Linux, virtualisation, networking and security while working with the latest technologies.

Desired qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Third level qualification in relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Managing and configuring Linux operating systems e.g. RedHAT, CentOS.
  • Experience with cloud technologies Public, Private and Hybrid.
  • Experience working with and managing AWS systems, security and networks.
  • Experience with networking and administration of subnets, vlans, routing and ability to troubleshoot using tools such as MTR, tcpdump etc.
  • Experience with physical hardware, servers, switches, firewalls, routers.
  • Experience working with virtualisation technologies such as VMware, vSphere and ESXi.
  • Experience with incident management and support.
  • Team player with keen interests in IT infrastructure, operations and security.
  • Excellent organisation, communication and time management skills.

Operations team functions:

  • Assist with and manage support requests and queries.
  • Ensure the monitoring of systems, applications and services is maintained to the highest standards.
  • Assist with the administration and revision of IT policy, operations and security documentation.
  • Document and maintain operational procedures and policies via Knowledge-base.
  • Manage and maintain system and application backups including DR.
  • Liaise with support and development teams internally and externally to ensure continuous service delivery and improvement of operational services.
  • Administration of servers and network infrastructure, switches, firewalls and storage.
  • Automation of current processes where possible using tools and utilities.
